zur Eröffnung der Gruppenausstellung GHOSTS OF DADA am Donnerstag, 4.
September, um 8 Uhr in der Photon Galerie, einladen. Die Ausstellung
wird von dr. Štepánka Bieleszová von der Museum Moderner Kunst aus
Olomuc eingeweiht werden.

Gallery. The exhibition will be inaugurated by dr. Štepánka Bieleszová
from the Museum of Modern Art Olomuc.

Gruppenausstellung Ghosts of Dada stellt drei wichtige Künstler und
Fotografen aus einen größeren Raum der Mitteleuropa dar, die in ihren
künstlerischen Schaffen die Prinzipien des Surrealismus benutzen. In
einer Zeit, wenn wir uns auf die Ereignisse vor 100 Jahren beziehen,
sollten wir auch über die Auswirkungen dieser Zeit in der späteren
Entwicklung der Künste, insbesondere im Bereich der Fotografie zu
denken. Die erste Bewegung, die grundlegend das Wesen der Kunst
verändert hat, war Dadaismus. Seine Ideen hatten sich später in dem
Surrealismus entwickelt, das in all seiner Komplexität zu einem der
Hauptrichtungen der Kunst im 20. Jahrhundert geworden war, aber tiefe
Spuren auch in der Fotografie hinterlassen hat. Unter den (zum?)
"nicht-klassischen" Meister der Fotografie in der zweiten
Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts gehören auch Stane Jagodič (SLO), Roberto
Kusterle (ITA) und Ladislav POSTUP (CZE).
Group exhibition Ghosts of
Dada brings together three artists and
photographers from Central Europe who apply surrealist features in
their art making. As well as relating to events that took place 100
years ago, we can take this opportunity to also think about the impact
of that time on later development in the arts, particularly in
photography. The first movement which fundamentally transformed the
nature of art was Dadaism. The ideas of its members later developed
into Surrealism which, with all its complexity, became one of the main
directions of art throughout the 20th century, leaving deep traces also
on photography. We can count Stane Jagodič (SLO), Roberto Kusterle
(ITA) and Ladislav Postupa (CZE) among the "non-classical"
masters of photography of the second half of the 20th century.
